EQUIPMENT FOR PROTECTION AND MEASUREMENT OF CORROSION LEVEL
PURPOSE
To prevent corrosion and to measure the level of corrosion.

APPLICATION
The cathodical station is applied to prevent corrosion and the commutator of current to measure the level of corrosion of underground metal tanks and gas-main tubes.

PROPERTIES
The cathodical station is used as a source of direct current on gas-main in order to prevent corrosion. The size of current is changed and automatically maintained according to atmospheric conditions. The control of current is executed by computer or by phone with the help of GSM.
The commutators of current are used to measure the level of corrosion. They commutate the feed of direct current into gas-main with the help of switcher in fixed time intervals. According to the length of network of pipes, from 3 to 8 commutators of current are connected to one branch-line and work synchronically. The curves are observed and registered with the help of oscillograph. From these impulses the condition of route is analyzed. The size of commutated current is up to 30 A. The commutated direct voltage is up to 50 V. The accuracy of long time commutation is ± 5.0 ms in twenty-four hours.
