OTHER INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND INSTRUMENTS PREVIOUS CONTENTS NEXT PIEZOELECTRIC TEACHING AIDS PURPOSE Piezoelectric Teaching Aids are useful for students of Mechatronics and Precision Actuators enabling them to get acquainted wit the application of direct and inverse piezoeffect for precision actuators. OPERATING PRINCIPLE Piezoelectric Teaching Aids cover three methods of transforming high frequency multi-component resonant oscillations into continuous or start-stop motion. Nine models are presented; they illustrate the specifics of actuators with 1, 2 or 3 degrees-of-freedom and cover linear, rotational and multi- degree-of-freedom piezoelectric actuators. CHARACTERISTICS Can be designed without ferromagnetic metal components. TECHNICAL DATA THE LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY COMPLETION Prototype.
