OTHER INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND INSTRUMENTS PREVIOUS CONTENTS NEXT WIND ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM OF LOW POWER AND SPEED PURPOSE Design and production of low power wind electric power system, which shall be working efficiently at low speed winds. APPLICATION Geographically traditional (wing propelled gear design) wind electric power Systems can be placed only where average wind speed is higher than 4-5 m/s. New low wind electricity generation systems can be installed at any place on the terrain of Lithuania and other continental and/or remote parts of the World. They are environmentally friendly systems and can start generating electricity at the wind speed of 1,5 m/s. This means that the system is suitable for use by separate households to reduce electricity bills and by bigger private electricity generation systems oriented to electricity sales. The system does not require special security measures to protect people from noise and has no problems generated by high speed winds, too. ADVANTAGES New design and technology used in Technogama's wind electricity generation system allow to substantially reduce energy transformation loses in comparison to traditional ones. Applied know-how and state of the art technology solutions, including recently developed materials, makes the system able to generate electricity even at the wind speeds lower than 2 m/s. That is why it is able to generate electricity practically the whole year around. THE LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY COMPLETION The project is at the prototyping stage.
