OTHER INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND INSTRUMENTS PREVIOUS CONTENTS NEXT INNOVATIVE TEXTILE MATERIALS PURPOSE Innovative textile materials intended for the protection of people's health and life. PROPERTIES Co-operating with the scientists of Kaunas University of Technology, new research projects are carried out in the field of creating innovative textile materials with advanced properties and fields of applications using nanotechnologies and low temperature plasma. APPLICATION High-tech materials and technologies result in the development and manufacturing of wide range of garments for personal protective equipment and protective clothing for military, police and civil application, which fulfils requirements of EN, NATO and NIJ standards: Ballistic and stab protection: bullet, fragment, stab resistant garments, made of paraaramide yarns. The resistant properties of ballistic panels as well as the comfort of garments are optimised with the help of a certain software program. All the products are tested in Mellrichstad's Ballistic Testing Institute by standards NIJ and STANAG and have Compliance Test Reports. Bullet-resistant vests produced in Lithuanian Textile Institute have Certificate of Industrial Design of Lithuania. Waterproof and breathable overgarments with reciprocal moisture system for military application. Water repellent and vapour permeate are combined in one garment. Three-layer fabrics, used for overgarments have Certificate of Industrial Design of Lithuania. THE LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY COMPLETION Research, testing, development of new innovative textile materials and methods. POSSIBLE CO-OPERATION Search for partners and foreign markets.
